Sometimes you stumble upon situations so horrifically bad that you can't help but laugh. It's like your brain tries to process the sheer extent of unadulterated absurdity and just throws its hands up, opting for laughter as a coping defense.

Awful Day Ever

It all started with a case of uncontrollable hair. I couldn't make it to look presentable. As I was dashing out the door, I trippedon and dropped my lunch all over the floor. To make matters worse, I was extremely running behind for a very important appointment.

A series/chain/cascade of unfortunate/awful/disastrous events unfolded/occurred/piled on top each other, leaving me feeling like I was in a nightmare/horror movie/comedy of errors. It's the kind of situation where you just want to throw your hands up.
